15th Annual Spring Unveiling Arts Festival Schedule May 1,2 & 3 2015

Friday May 1. 5:00 to 6:00. Georgia Gerber. Noted Public Sculptor & Master of the Bronze medium, Georgia Gerber brings forth the essence of her subject matter using the lost wax traditional casting technique. She will share a slide presentation of the foundry process. “Tufted Puffins” , created for Cannon Beach, grace our City as part of the communities permanent Public Art Collection, selected by Public Choice Vote. Gerber’s work defines many of our favorite NW Public Places and moments in our lives as photo ops including, “Rachel, the Pike Place Pig ” at the Market in Seattle and 26 sculptures in downtown Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square, depicting Oregon Wildlife. Georgia will join us for the upcoming 7th Annual Plein Air & More Arts Festival June 26, 27 & 28th covered by the prestigious Southwest Art Magazine. Gerber won the People’s Choice vote last year for her life size “Colt with Turtle” which was created for a Public Art Project in Overland Park, Kansas, “Prairie Fire .” Reception following with Jazz Guitar of Bobcat Bob & Sineann Winery with Patrick McElligott.

May 2. 1:00. Hazel Schlesinger Plein Air Oil & Abstract Oil Painter. A native of Cannon Beach, Hazel is a member of the prestigious American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America. Her work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and has appeared in the TV series “Leverage” as well as commercials distributed worldwide. Hazel is a member of the Hawaii Plein Air Society and will join us for the 7th Annual Plein AIr & More Arts Festival.

May 3, 1:00. Ivan McLean. One of 10 Sculptors selected for the Newport Beach Sculpture Park in Newport Beach California for a 108″ Stainless Steel Sphere. His numerous Public Sculptures can be seen throughout Portland’s Pearl District. The Nines Hotel in downtown Portland has a nine foot tall hammered Bronze Sculpture, Wood Sculpture throughout , and Kiln Formed Glass Panels created for the Hotel.
