It served the loggers in the area, some of whom slept in small cabins behind the restaurant. Tales of encounters with bears have been recalled by former employees. The morning sun was already illuminating the clouds offshore as I walked by Silver Point recently. The first kiss of sunlight was hitting the sea stacks and breakers as well.
