Hazel Schlesinger

Beginning/Intermediate Plein Air in Oil

An Introduction and Beyond. First timers welcome!

A challenge for many painters is learning how to edit or how to simplify the landscape into a few basic shapes and values. Learn how to express the essence of a scene by editing the details into simple abstract shapes and using bold brush strokes to build your landscape. We will be using a limited color palette to build a pleasing landscape. Students will leave with several small studies of the area around beautiful Cannon Beach. Demonstration and individual attention leads to success.

Class size limited to 8 artists. $185 for both days.
