Each March, the Savor Cannon Beach festival features four-days of wine tastings, culinary and arts events and a wine walk featuring dozens of Northwest wineries. The Cannon Beach Gallery Group puts on two annual arts events: Spring Unveiling Arts Festival in May, and Plein Air & More in June.  Both festivals have developed into two of the premier art events in the region.  The Gallery Group promotes and organizes the festivals, but what is the Gallery Group and what is its purpose? The weekend begins with the “Quick Draw Demonstration and Auction” held at the Surfsand Resort Friday evening.  Artists will demonstrate their techniques working for a full hour on a single painting, carving or sculpture.  Some of the artwork will be finished and offered for sale that evening.  Other artists will complete their work during the weekend and it will be for sale in their local galleries.
