The Cannon Beach Gallery will display the work of regional artists in an exhibit entitled Flora and Fauna beginning on Friday, August 3 with an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, August 4 from 6-8pm. The show is being underwritten by the Bank of Astoria and will run through Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
Included in this invitational exhibit are well known North Coast artists Liza Jones, Sally Lackaff, Barbara Temple Ayres, Susan C. Walsh, Grant Wood, Michelle Beaulieu and the basketry of Eugene artist, Donna Sakamoto-Crispin. The artists will explore the local environment through their own visual narratives using a variety of media, including printmaking, assemblage, painting and weaving.
The Cannon Beach Gallery is a program of the non-profit organization the Cannon Beach Arts Association and is located in mid-town at 1064 S. Hemlock Street. The gallery is open seven days a week through August from 10am-5pm. Contact information: 503-436-0744,www.cannonbeacharts.org.
