You will learn the importance of observation rather than using formulas and recipes to paint what you actually see and feel. Through instruction, demonstrations, and critiques, this workshop explores composition and design, values, color harmony, brushwork and edges.
Each day will include a demo, a group discussion about painting techniques, materials and philosophy, and finally, individual easel time followed with helpful critiques.
This class will be followed by the Cannon Beach Plein Air and More event occurring on June 22-24, 2012. Eric and Michael often like to paint the light of the morning and evening best and always welcome their students to join them for informal sunrise/sunset paint outs (no extra fee).
Payment Options: To sign up for the workshop and for the class supply list and handouts, contact Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org (503) 693-7639.
